Madysen Beighley

Ethos Director

Madysen Beighley was introduced to dance at the tender age of 2 ½. Ballet, jazz, tap, and tumbling classes filled her childhood along with voice lessons and acting workshops. In 2001 she performed with Kurt Bestor in The Dance at the Capital Theater. The following year she was chosen to perform in the Closing Ceremonies of the 2002 Winter Olympics with Earth, Wind and Fire, under the choreographic expertise of Kenny Ortega. She also sang at the Pearl Awards and danced in two separate productions of Joy to the World with Odyssey Dance Theater. As a dancer, Mady also performed at Radio City Music hall, Evolutions of Dance, Dancing Under the Stars and The Governor’s Ball. Other stage productions include: Into The Woods as Cinderella’s step-mother, Smokey Joe’s Café, Urinetown as Mrs. Millennium/Cop, Steel Pier as Dora, Peter Pan, Giselle, and A Mid- Summer’s Night Dream. Mady’s film appearances include Sons of Provo, Church Ball, Jonah and the Great Fish, and High School Musical 2. Her leadership skills include Student Body Vice President and service with the disabled students in her school. She served as Miss Pleasant Grove, 2011 and lead her community with poise and grace. She is currently the director of Ethos Dance Project the preprofessional dance teams at Aspire Dance Academy. She has received numerous regional and national awards for her talent in choreography. She continues to share and cultivate her talent by choreographing for Pioneer Performing Arts, Orem, Pleasant Grove, and Timpanogos Highschool’s Dance Company’s. As well as choreographing for studios throughout Utah, Idaho, and Las Vegas. Madysen loves dance and is passionate about sharing her vast knowledge with her students.

Lea Tucker

Ethos Director

As a child, Lea spent countless hours at the studio where her mother taught and her love for dance began. She has been honored to receive many awards for her talent which include Miss Dance/Drill Utah 2011, 2nd runner-up at Miss Dance/Drill USA, and a State Sterling Scholar finalist in Dance. She was Miss Pleasant Grove in 2011 and at the Miss Utah Pageant was named 4th runner-up, won the talent award, and was the overall community service winner. She was a member of the 15-time National Champion BYU Cougarettes for three years. Her third year on Cougarettes she served as President and was the soloist in their annual concert. Lea was awarded All-American Dancer at the College Dance Team NDA camp. Lea also teaches dance at Lone Peak High School and graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Communications.

Janalyn Memmot

Ballet Director

Janalyn Memmott began her career as a championship baton twirler winning over 60 trophies and many titles. She studied ballet with Jacqueline Colledge and performed with the Utah Youth Ballet (currently Utah Regional Ballet). In High School she lettered in debate and was a member of the National Honor Society. She attended Brigham Young University on academic and talent scholarships and performed with BYU Theatre Ballet for six seasons and The Dancers’ Company for one as she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Ballet. After receiving her Master’s Degree in Dance Performance she performed with Utah Contemporary Dance Theatre (currently Odyssey Dance Theatre), and was featured in the video “Saturday’s Warrior” as well as Industrials and T.V. Specials. She was also a dancer for the Utah Jazz and performed in the 1993 All- Star Game. During this time she directed the BYU Theatre Ballet Youth Artist Program for five years and was an instructor in the BYU Ballet Department for 9 years. She also taught jazz and developed the ballet program for The Dance Club in Orem, UT where she was an instructor for 20 years and at Center Stage Performing Arts for 15 years. Janalyn is currently Dance Academy Director at Pioneer Performing Arts High School in American Fork. She is an instructor and Aspire Dance Academy and works with the award winning Ethos Dance Project. She is also a freelance teacher and choreographer traveling throughout the United States including Hawaii. She has received numerous choreography awards including two prestigious National Critic’s Choice Awards from New York City Dance Alliance and was instrumental in Center Stage winning 2012 Studio of the Year.

Brooke Hightower


Brooke began dancing at age three and has been trained in jazz, ballet, hip-hop, musical theater, gymnastics, contemporary and modern. She spent 9 years at The Dance Club and one year at Center Stage where she won many national and regional titles. She also had the opportunity to perform in the 2002 Winter Olympics along side Earth, Wind and Fire. She has performed in Kurt Bestor’s The Dance , local productions of The Nutcracker, thriller and in the Dance Club’s Art With Heart and Special Olympics- Utah County. She danced on her High School Dance Team and After Graduation, she danced with Vibe Productions for two years. She then went on to earn her associates degree in dance from Utah Valley University. She has taught at many studios in the past 10 years. She has trained all over the country with top choreographers. She has so much love for dancing and teaching and loves being a part of Aspire!
She resides in Utah County with her husband, Chason and is a mother of three girls.

Elissa Fonseca


A native of Pleasant Grove, UT, Elissa began her dance training locally studying a variety of styles of dance with a focus in classical ballet. At 15, she joined Utah Regional Ballet 2 and performed for 3 seasons under the direction of Jacqueline College.
Elissa studied ballet at the University of Utah from 2010-2014 where she received her BFA in Ballet and Minor in Psychology, all while under 4 years of full-tuition departmental scholarship. Elissa has performed internationally in Moscow, Russia, and Seoul South Korea as part of dance-culture exchange programs, as well as throughout the United States. Elissa has trained under full scholarship at the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance summer programs for 2 years under the direction of Summer Lee Rhatigan, and has also trained with members of classical and contemporary companies including Lines Ballet Company, Batsheva Dance Company, Joffrey Ballet, The Forsythe Company, The Foundry, Atlanta Ballet, and Ballet West.
Elissa is currently performing in her third season with local company SALT Contemporary Dance, and has taught at various studios in Salt Lake and Utah Valley, and is currently on faculty for her third year at Aspire Dance Academy and second year at Pioneer Performing Arts High School.

Kaia Duclous


Kaia Duclous has been dancing since she was a little girl. Throughout her many years of dance she was trained in the styles of Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Contemporary, and Ballet. In High School, Kaia spent three years on the Lehi Dance Company and was President her senior year. Kaia is also a three year Drill Team member, serving two of the three years as an officer, and captain her senior year. During this time she was able to choreograph officer and team routines. She also performed many solo routines and has competed locally and nationally throughout those years. She received an all-region award and finished Top 20 in Top Corps at camp against over 200 dancers.
She began teaching dance her senior year of High School at Timp School of Dance. Kaia has choreographed and instructed many company routines in Jazz, lyrical, Hip Hop, and Contemporary. She has also been given the opportunity to choreograph many solo, duet, and trio routines for different companies around Utah. These routines have competed locally and nationally, earning first place overall and high point. Dance is a huge passion of Kaia’s and she loves to teach! She loves to watch dancers master a skill and strive to become better. She is married to Jaden Duclos, her best friend and biggest supporter. Kaia attends Salt Lake Community College majoring in Dental Hygiene. Kaia hopes that she can continue to ignite the passion she has for dance in others.

Mati Markus


Mati danced at Studio C Academy of Dance for 16 years and competed with them for 12 years. She trained in jazz, ballet, contemporary, lyrical, pointe, hip hop, and musical theatre. During high school she traveled throughout the Northwest competing at various competitions and earning several high point awards.
Mati has earned scholarships at several conventions including NUVO Senior Breakout Artist, LADM Performer of the Weekend, Jump Senior VIP scholarship and competed as a Best Dancer Finalist at the Dance Awards. Mati has worked with many choreographers including Jenn Parsley, Alex Little, Fred Ogaard, Kristin Cooper, Michele Garmin, Chonique Sneed, Johanna Sapakie, Sabrina Phillips and more.
Mati is currently attending BYU studying Human Development and hopes to attend physical therapy school after she graduates. She has loved working at Aspire and helping dancers to grow and learn to love what they do.

Torri Gee


Tori Gee started dancing when she was about 2 years old at Studio C Academy of Dance in Boise, Idaho. She has trained in several different styles including jazz, contemporary, lyrical, ballet, pointe, hip hop, and some gymnastics. She has competed in several competitions throughout the Northwest receiving several high placement awards and scholarships. Tori has had several performing opportunities throughout Idaho including the Paul Mitchell Hair Show. She also competed for two years on her high school drill team, winning state and national titles both years she competed with them.
Tori attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. She danced with the BYU Cougarettes for three years from 2013-2016. Tori performed in several events with the Cougarettes including Dancing Under the Stars, Cougarettes in Concert, BYU Homecoming Spectacular, Utah State Drill competitions, Miss Drill Utah pageant, several charity events, and more. While on Cougarettes, her team won 4 National titles in the Dance and Hip Hop divisions. She also had the opportunity to serve as an officer for the Cougarettes. Tori graduated from BYU with a degree in Exercise and Wellness.
Tori has worked closely with many choreographers including Karl Mundt, Shandon Perex, Alan Salazer, Jaci Royal, Bree Hafen, Travis Wall, Denise Wall, Tessaundra Chavez, Ade Obayomi, Tony Czar, Jaymz Tuaileva, Johanna Sapapkie, Sabrina Phillips, and many more.
Tori has several years of teaching experience and loves watching her dancers grow. She has been teaching at Aspire Dance Academy since it opened in 2012 and absolutely loves it!

Melissa Ercanbrack


Melissa trained at Center Stage Performing Arts Studio in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary and Latin Ballroom. She was the BYU Junior National Latin Ballroom Champion at age 14. Melissa also competed with a formation team at the world's ballroom competition in Blackpool, England placing 3rd. She was a NYCDA Outstanding Dancer regional winner multiple times and placed in the top ten at NYCDA Nationals with the high point overall solo. After highschool, Melissa danced at BYU for a year and then auditioned for Odyssey Dance Theater. She then danced with Odyssey for 2 years. While on Odyssey Melissa toured around performing Thriller and did a one month European tour performing Odyssey repertoire. At this time Melissa also started teaching dance in Sandy, Utah. Since then she has been married, has 3 kids and has been training dancers and choreographing for 13 years.
